Research Statement
My research interests include machine learning and statistical methods in the area of natural language processing of clinical documents. My current main projects include implementation as well as evaluation of NLP systems and annotation tools. Some other projects I am working on are usage mining of log files from CPOE system, public health surveillance using school absenteeism data, and modeling measurement errors in human annotations.
